Al-Bayan School construction project in Bouanre, Borgou Province, Benin
This project will be implemented, God willing, in cooperation with Mutual Aid For Education And Social Development
Project Description:
Al-Bayan School is a dual primary school offering both modern sciences and moderate Islamic studies for young people. It is located in Borgo Province, in the Bimberke area, in the Bouanré district, and in the city of Bouanré itself. Bouanré is the mother city of the administrative district below it. It consists of several residential neighborhoods and is surrounded on all sides by numerous villages and rural communities. It contains the largest population center in the district and is home to several government agencies. The village is home to approximately 8,000 people, out of a total population of 35,000. The city is located in the northeast of Benin, approximately 530 km from the capital, Porto-Novo. This project consists of a six-classroom elementary school. Its importance lies in the fact that it will be the first and only school of its kind in the district. It will combine religious education with modern education, enabling children to acquire the basics of religion and modern sciences simultaneously. It is located far from cities where schools that combine religious education and modern education exist. The school will serve as a center for teaching the Quran to children and educating them about their religion. The majority of the area's residents are Muslims.
